What exactly is cotton percale?
What is Cotton Percale? Often misunderstood as a particular blend of fabric, cotton percale actually describes the type of weave used in luxury bed linen.
The term ‘percale’ defines the simple criss-cross pattern which enables the threads to be woven tightly.
Is percale cooler than cotton?
Cotton percales are more breathable and cooler-feeling than other sheets, and they’re built to last!
Do hotels use percale?
Hotels opt for a percale weave over sateen as percale epitomizes the cool, crisp feeling typical of a luxury hotel suite. A percale weave is also naturally longer lasting as by definition, it’s a tighter weave.
How long should percale sheets last?
If you use a sheet set every day of the year, you’ll need to replace it after about two years. Depending who your supplier is and if you bought it from a retail store.
Buying wise is the best financial choice over a period of time.
